VIX seems like a very profitable strategy when used properly and knowing which stocks will rebound based on the % it's experiencing. (the 8-15% being calm, 16-25% being worried and 30-80%+ being scared out of the stock or so.rthing along those parameters.) It seems to imitate a punch being thrown and instead of running away, you hold off until you see an opportunity to strike and you can ride that rebound back to the top. Simply put it just reminds me of buying low knowing it should rebound based on history and all things coming to pass, and then when you time it right you can profit off of the ride back up if and or when it occurs. If you have anything else to share like the options tab I'd gladly listen and learn but your article was very well made and perceivable.
