• Project6Zero : if the market is too volatile and u can't get a good gauge, perhaps best to take a break n just do nothing till u r more relaxed and have more clarity on what to do next. i personally sold most of my stocks and I'm at 80% cash. we all know the current US market uncertainty is going to be for quite a while (few months to a year or two), so chill a bit n do more research n slowly dip in. MY market in some sense is being overshadowed by the US market. only so much the GLICs can pump up or hold the market.

I don't think so we're net importers, that's why there's a trade deficit. we consume more than what we ship out by enormous margin just as China exports $5 for every $1 they import or Vietnam exports $12 for every $1 they import this is the story because this is the imbalance that's taking place.
  the whole premise of the tariffs according to Trump on the top line is we are an importer not an exporter that there's trade imbalances and as a result we run significant trade deficits. this is the story that President Trump has talked about this is what's making the news and if you listen to president Trump he says when I see a deficit it means we are losing those are his exact words. so if you focus on the big picture. what I'm saying is truthful it is accurate and it doesn't require diving deep and trying to micro analyze every aspect of us trade exporting. 
  I believe and I've said this before I think the US dollar is dropping because of what is actually happening behind the doors of 1600 Pennsylvania avenue more so than China selling MBS. I've said that because of Scott Bessent  experience working alongside of George Soros, they understand how to manipulate currency on a global scale. and I think a large percentage of the US dropping is by design because it makes the story easy to understand that the net impact of other countries selling goods into the US market which is what this is about it's not US exports it's the perception of other countries purchasing power and what is the loss that they will incur. when you put numbers on paper the cost benefit analysis to these other nations these other companies and these other nations is a net 2% gain
  this is not about what the US is exporting because the tariff was designed to take into consideration the trade deficit it is not based off of the percent that other countries impose on the US but rather the ratio of US exports to other countries imports that's how the tariffs were initially established. the proof of that is Vietnam. Trump imposed a 90% tariff on that Nation. that's why you saw Nike Wayfair and other companies that manufacture in Vietnam tank on that news. if it was truly a reciprocal tariff then the president Trump would have only charged Vietnam a 9% rate not 90. but the ratio of what we export to Vietnam relative to what we import is how the rate of tariffs are determined. so if Vietnam winds up in the green bucket they'll be at a 10% tariff and using my example their net 2% positive compared to January 19th.
  the story of what the US exports is a multi-year story it's 10 years in the making factories are not going to be built overnight supply side infrastructure is not going to be built overnight and if you read Dan Ives he is flat out saying companies will not be moving to the United States apple is not going to be moving because the supply side is 3 million people to build one iPhone that's the logistics from start to finish how many hands touch one single iPhone from start to finish. the manufacturing in the US will take many years and the US does not want to have clothing companies stitching Nike shoes and shirts and sweatpants in the United States that's not the industries the Trump wants. so the story of manufacturing is technology it's autos it's big ticket items it's high margin items it's not high volume items like shirts and shoes. my story is accurate it does hold up to scrutiny because the initial impact is the cost to the companies in these nations that's the concern. these companies and these countries don't really care about the cost of buying US goods it's the conversion what do they wind up with at the end of the day that matters.
