10baggerbamm : I didn't read the terms of the deal.
if it's an all cash deal and it's approved by shareholders because why wouldn't it be then that's what you're going to get on closing day. as they say a deal is not done till it's done you can have somebody from the department of Justice say that this violates monopolistic practices and we're not going to permit the deal to happen that's the type of thing that was going on in the Biden administration for example.
alternatively if this is a cash and stock deal the price is pegged to the value of rocket stock when the deal was consummated so rocket stock sells off at work it's shorted it reduces the price that you get on day of closing because rocket stock has fallen or it is shorted.
and if it's an all stock deal it's the last sentence above because the deals announced based off of the price of rocket stock on the closing date so Rockstar drops because people short the stock and you get less as a shareholder in redfin.. and sometimes I have seen where the acquiring Company stock falls so much that they have to go back and do a second deal and sweeten it and reset the purchase price to a higher amount of shares because their stock has fallen

blessings u 10baggerbamm : The shareholders of RDFN need to approve for it to take effect. $12.50 per share, whether in Cash or Stocks compensation, will be realized as long as patience is maintained.

10baggerbamm blessings u : you're incorrect if it's stock.. need to read the terms of the deal because they will outline and say in black and white if the acquisition will be based off of the share price at said date of rocket company they also may put qualifiers in that if rocket stock falls by a certain percent they will increase the amount of shares to equal the 12.50 that was agreed upon..
you need to read it because I have walked down this road several times in my life where I wake up I'm all excited I'm in a company and it says front and center in the news it's being bought out I get all excited only to find it's a stock deal and the stock that I am in which should be trading higher is trading down considerably in the days and weeks to come because the company that's going to be buying out mine is being shorted.
