Tonyco JTTC19 : Agree. From here, we will get the increasing # of layoffs as corpo protects margins. This, combined with the risky loans promoted by lower bank regulations and AI approving loans, will nail the coffin on regional banks, and they will start failing.
We're potentially looking at severe price increases, which obviously will hurt Trump voters the most. Maybe Trump will try to deflect blame onto "reciprocal" tariffs to pretend it's not his fault, or blame democrats if it takes more than 2 years.

104348186 : It is noteworthy that Japan and South Korea, which are traditional reciprocal countries, have higher tariffs than Malaysia, which is quite amusing. Singapore will definitely have a lot of products going through and being laundered in the future, at just 10%. Chinese companies may likely build factories in Malaysia in the future, then export to Singapore, and finally export to the USA under the label of "Made in Singapore." Are Malaysia and Singapore ready for this sudden wealth? The reason is simple: first, the Logistics costs are much lower compared to those countries with 10% tariffs, plus the labor costs and land costs, and Malaysia doesn't even have a time difference... Chinese business owners, time to act!

$iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM.US)$ This movement is asinine. Seriously? Nothing reported was good news maybe more construction spend. But that was. Jobs report lower, PMI Higher. This should have been much much lower.

We are just 1 day away from “Liberation Day”. Both S&P500 and Nasdaq are down more than 0.7% as of the time of writing.
Investors are still feeling nervy and jittery ahead of the big day where reciprocal tariffs will come into effect.
If there is a broad-based sanction on all countries from Trump, it could escalate to a global trade war, with a lot of tit for tat going on. This is definitely not good for US and global economy

Another day of rally

In this very news driven market, no tariff news means good news for the market.
The market is still taking comfort from signs that President Trump could offer flexibility ahead of the next major tariff deadline - 2 Apr.
Stocks have risen since last Friday.
PS: things work both ways. If Trump gives us some negative tariff news, the market can pull back faster than you could imagine.
