Short-term volatility is whipsawing the S&P 500 and global equity markets, and the root cause appears to be the latest wave of trade tariff announcements by President Trump. While the market is pricing in tariffs as a net negative, at least for now, the reality is that this short-term pain has enough factors playing behind it to turn this situation into long-term gains across the board. One of the main industries most directly impac...

I am in utility industry, and have driven all of the different manufacturers 250/350 and 2500/3500 trucks for work for over 2.5 decades (closer to 3). I've owned Fords as family cars for 30 years, E350, F250, F350, Edge (Sport), Explorer (Sport), etc., not bottom of the barrel products. ALL my Fords had constant recalls and issues...Edge turbo underboost, door latch issue were never resolved (after several attempts) until sold. The Explorer had constant breakage issue with the shift console switches and leaking transmission coolant connections at the radiator until sold. F-350 Triton motor locked up at 78k miles with known issue and Ford did not stand behind (cost 7.5k to fix) got stuck with this one and lost almost all trade value. I got mad and bought a Silverado 5.3L RST and Blazer RS. Difference is amazing, technology seems way ahead. The Blazer tracks like a madman in snow, very fast, and RST 0-60 in around 6 seconds... takes corners at 80mph (don'task how I know-lol), and tracks great in snow too! At around 75k miles, the Silverado started shifting rough, seemed to work fine, above and beyond, they replaced transmission without a fight. No other problems since, with over 129k miles so far. I have to tow for work, owned Toyota's too (Camry LS's, and Sienna Van) no issues there, BTW, I drive rental cars from all manufacturers while traveling (EVs, Hybrids, Gas), and tow camper for pleasure. doubt I'll be looking for an EV anytime soon. there are millions of people like me, so I'm betting on GM, and pretty sure this stock will take off with the new surge in manufacturing. Due to all of the above, I feel qualified as a consumer, to state that as far as technology, it really seems like GM has a leg up! I'll probably get GMC or Cadillac (maybe EV!) one day..
$Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$$Tesla (TSLA.US)$$Ford Motor (F.US)$$General Motors (GM.US)$ I saw something earlier today that I didn't know the average hourly worker for a GM a Ford auto line worker is $70 an hour the average hourly wage for an auto line worker building the same vehicle in Mexico is $6 an hour everybody understands that 100% of every automotive company excluding Tesla has unions that means union dues that comes out of your paycheck so you're not getting 70 an hour. this is ...

the chart that I was looking at it said US Auto workers obviously they're not referring to upper management they're not referring to mid-management they're referring to people that are working on the line that are building so if it's Ford or GM or stellantis the average is $70 an hour in the United States for an auto worker in Mexico it's $6.

Planned layoff since 2024, mostly due to ending the ram 1500. Also this is a tesla board, so why do we care what a foreign-owned company is doing? Take that shit elsewhere

Tesla will be subjected to tariffs because the parts tariffs are coming and Tesla does buy parts overseas so you should be concerned because if you don't know exactly what parts are coming from overseas I think you might be surprised they're going to be getting hammered on their tariffs. and if you don't like what I have to say well piss off plain and simple
