10baggerbamm : you have to understand retail sales increase because people are buying ahead of tariff prices for the same reason that a lot of auto companies are pushing incentives right now like Ford for saying employee pricing they want to move as much inventory as possible before the tariffs stop the spending of consumers so this is called front running it's the same reason that Auto parts manufacturers had a 5% increase month over month because they're stocking the shelves they're buying as much as possible so that next month and the month after they don't have to pay up for the same exact product that's not going to be subjected to tariffs
