The times have changed. Blackrock investment strategist Powell calls on the market to adopt more targeted strategies.
According to the Blackrock Investment Institute, Global investors are facing a "fundamentally different era of financial markets," which requires the adoption of an entirely new investment strategy, with a greater emphasis on selectivity. "It is necessary to shift from simple, even naive risk-on/risk-off strategies to more refined and targeted approaches," said Ben Powell, the firm's Chief Investment Strategist for the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, on Tuesday. Investors should reevaluate those strategies that once worked "when inflation was low, and central banks came to the rescue at the first sign of trouble."
