Amazon launched the first batch of Kuiper Internet satellites, challenging Starlink.
On Monday Eastern Time, Amazon's first batch of 27 Kuiper Broadband Internet Satellites launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida aboard the "Vulcan Centaur" rocket from the joint venture of Boeing and Lockheed Martin, United Launch Alliance (ULA). This marks a key step in Amazon's $10 billion "Kuiper Project," aimed at competing with SpaceX's Starlink for the global market of Internet in space for Consumers, businesses, and government clients by deploying 3,236 low Earth orbit satellites. The mission was originally scheduled for April 9 but was postponed due to bad weather.
