Maoye International Holdings Limited (the “Company”) is a limited liability company incorporated in the Cayman Islands on August 8, 2007. The Company and its subsidiaries (“Group”) mainly operate and manage department stores and property development businesses in the People's Republic of China (“China”). The Company's shares were listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Limited (“Stock Exchange”) on May 5, 2008 (the “Listing Date”). Since its establishment, the Group has rapidly emerged under its unique “retail+commercial real estate” model, and has achieved large-scale replication and expansion across the country. The Group uses low-cost land acquisition to pave the way for physical retail businesses to backfeed, and create a closed ecological loop of complementarity and mutual assistance for core businesses. Since the opening of its first store, Shenzhen Dongmen, in 1997, after more than 20 years of dedicated development and careful layout, the Group has gradually consolidated its leading position in the South China region with its strong competitiveness and reforms and innovations that keep pace with the times, and has further expanded into the hinterland markets of East China, Southwest China and the fastest growing region, and has become an industry leader in many regions.
